small complex of four newly constructioned in traditional Cycladic style studios.
It is a real balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea with a lovely garden.
The complex,
built in 2010, aims to provide quality touristic services to the visitors of
Santorini and especially those of Perissa.
The name has
been chosen by the owner in order to combine the word Thera (the older name of
Santorini) with the word Terra from the historical phrase Terra Incognita (Unknown
Earth) always sought by explorers and navigators.
The intent
and goal of the owner was and is always, to offer the visitor high standard accommodation
and services in a romantic, peaceful and simultaneously cosmopolitan and modern
environment. We hope that this will make you feel that you have really
discovered our beautiful island and after having left one will wish to return back.
Location
Perissa village is
one of the most popular destinations of Santorini. Located in the southeastern
part of the island the beach is protected from the northerly winds that usually
blow during summer in the Cyclades. Thus swimming in the sea is usually calm
and pleasant. The area is characterized by its wide black sandy beach and
crystal clear waters, highlights the island's wild image.
Umbrellas
and sun bathers are available along the beach as well as marine sports of various
kinds. The beach is very wide and ends on the street promenade flanked by shady
trees. Across the street there are several shops including restaurants, bars, tavernas
(traditional grills) etc. Behind the beach promenade spreads the village of
Perissa with rooms for rent, small hotels and a generally complete touristic
infrastructure. Buses to Fira (the capital of the island) run regularly (every
half an hour during high season). There are also a lot of tourist offices that
rent cars, scooters and bicycles. Concluding it is a region for peaceful
